By accessing or using Nuance News ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
To participate on the Platform, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Each user receives an initial balance of 1,000 credits upon registration. Credits are a platform currency used for staking on article submissions and other platform activities. Credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for currency.
You retain ownership of content you create and publish on the Platform. By submitting content, you grant Nuance News a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Platform and in connection with Platform services.
Content imported from third-party platforms (e.g., social media posts) remains the property of the original authors. Nuance News displays such content under fair use for commentary and news reporting purposes.
You agree not to submit content that is defamatory, fraudulent, deliberately misleading, or that violates the intellectual property rights of others.
Articles submitted for publication undergo community peer review. Submitting an article requires staking a minimum of 50 credits. If the article is approved through the review process, credits are returned with a publishing reward. If the article is rejected, staked credits are forfeited.
Reviewers are expected to evaluate content fairly and in good faith. Voting, fact-checking, and context contributions affect your trust score, which is publicly visible on your persona profile.
Published articles may be challenged by other users through the challenge system. Challenges are resolved by community vote, and outcomes affect the trust scores and credit balances of all participants.
Your trust score is a public metric reflecting your participation history and accuracy on the Platform. Trust scores influence vote weight in peer review and access to certain Platform features. Trust scores are calculated algorithmically and cannot be manually adjusted.
Trust scores may decay during periods of inactivity. Regular participation in writing, reviewing, or other Platform activities prevents decay.

Nuance News reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms, suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abusive behavior, and take any action necessary to protect the integrity of the Platform and its community. Content moderation decisions may be appealed through the feedback system.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Nuance News is not responsible for the accuracy of user-generated content, loss of credits due to Platform mechanics (staking, challenges), or actions taken by other users. Use the Platform at your own discretion.
You may delete your account at any time. Nuance News may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your content may remain on the Platform but your persona profile will be deactivated.
Questions about these terms can be submitted through the feedback widget available on every page of the Platform, or by contacting the Nuance News team directly.
